When you sign up for internet you’ll have the choice to either rent or purchase your own modem. Many people choose to rent their modem from their ISP (internet service provider). The costs of renting can add up to a lot of money overtime.
The cost of renting a Comcast modem is $10 a month. Purchasing a modem instead of renting one can pay for itself in as little as a year. The modem’s hardware will last you for years and save you a lot of money on your monthly bill.
I’ve put together a small list that will show you which modem(s) are compatible with your internet service. Select the type of internet you have in the menu below and you’ll see a list of compatible devices.
The table above is using Amazon affiliate links. I earn a small commission on purchases made via these links and the money is used to help maintain this website. If you have questions or comments feel free to get in touch with me by using the contact page.
The compatibility information is gathered directly from the Comcast website.
